Bad Behaviour, a group show of eight artists continues at Brixton East, SW9 7JF until Sunday 28 October. The gallery is open 12-6pm Thursday-Sunday.

Salon Art Prize 2012

Exhibition News: Bad Behaviour, Brixton East

The upstairs gallery at Brixton East

Installation started this weekend for the forthcoming group exhibition Bad Behaviour at the new south London venue Brixton East. A former Victorian furniture factory in the heart of Brixton, Brixton East forms an impressive and characterful backdrop to the show of work by artists from London, New York and Berlin.

Bad Behaviour opens at Brixton East on Friday 12 October 6.30-10.30pm.

Beer Lambert Award for Emerging Art

I am delighted to have been shortlisted for the Beers Lambert Award for Emerging Art. The award received submissions from 1500 artists working internationally across a variety of media.

Salon Art Prize 2012

The work selected for the 2012 Salon Art Prize is Praxis, a repetitive line drawing. Part of a series of systematic works produced within a defined area, it displays successively drawn straight lines, which suggest movement and depth on the paper surface through the process of drawing.

Exhibition News: LDN BCN

Charley Peters, XXXV (2012), Graphite Powder on Paper

The group show LDN BCN opens at Untitled BCN gallery in Barcelona on 10 November 2012. Featuring the work of 18 artists working in or connected to London, the exhibition will run throughout November. I will be showing a new work, XXXV, a grid of 35 geometric drawings in graphite powder on paper. The graphite powder is brushed onto masked off areas of paper, which have been prepared with a ground of acrylic medium and glue.
