New Drawing: Exploring Surface and Form

One of a new series of drawings exploring the use of materials, in this case graphite powder, to express density, form and dimensionality. The drawing presents a metallic textured surface that is in sharp contrast to the smooth white ground of the paper.

Sketches

New drawings exploring repetitive graphite lines on black paper. On the dark surface the graphite drawings appears nearly invisible when viewing them directly from the front, but when seen from other viewing positions the lines catch the light with a metallic shimmer.
